Wow! Isn't it amazing the damage that can be done by water? I personally am amazed. When our washing machine flooded four rooms in our home last month, I had no idea of the consequences that lay ahead of us. When I finally did start to realize the damage and called my insurance company and then Stanley Restoration, I was devastated to learn the extensive damage to our home. We have only been in this home for a year and a half. I have spent countless hours texturing, painting, and decorating our home. To learn that much of the baseboards had to come out and holes cut in the walls to dry them out well was very overwhelming.

We had repairs of “major water damage” to our upstairs bath and bedroom which destroyed our entire bottom level of our home.  I was frantic ad did not know which way to turn or who to call.  My wonderful State Farm agent of 11 years recommended me to Stanley Restoration.  Before I could get a call into them, a representative contacted me.  About 20 minutes later, your Field Supervisor and his crew were here at my home to assist me.  When he arrived, he was extremely professional, attentive, and reassuring of my concerns.  Restoration done by Stanley Restoration was done in three weeks including cleanup.

The contractor made sure that my house looked just like I have wanted it to look and made sure that I was ok with every decision.  He felt more like an uncle than a contractor.  This is a quality that I can appreciate in any rendered service.

At this point, we are extremely satisfied with the finished product.  The Stanley Restoration team was always on schedule, most courteous, and took time to explain what they were doing and what else needed to be done.  They were a “delight” to have around.

The Senior Estimator came over to measure and order supplies, then inspected the work done.  He brought supplies and assisted in cleaning up.  He also made sure and is still making sure that I am satisfied with my home.  Any concerns we had were quickly resolved.  Over the course of the work, he also did an excellent job of keeping me informed of how the work was progressing and when people would be at the house.  He and all of your other employees were very polite and friendly at all times.

The ladies with Stanley Restoration, who helped pack and unpack my belongings, were also very nice and careful with accurate inventory assessments.  As they unpacked, they were also organized and assisted me in item replacements.

In January, there was a small chimney fire at my home.  The fire department responded quickly enough to minimize the damage, but there was damage done nonetheless.  Although the fire could have been a lot worse, it was still a traumatic situation for me and my family.  The top of the chimney was gone and we were getting a lot of snow and ice to make the situation worse.  The first company that my insurance representative recommended to me was Stanley Restoration.

Our Experience with Stanley Restoration:

In early May we were in England celebrating my wife’s sister’s 50^th wedding anniversary.  Then we got a call from our neighbor telling us our house had been flooded with at least one inch of water from a broken plumbing connection under our kitchen sink.  When we got home our insurance agency, Nationwide Insurance, came in to make an estimate of the damage.  They also contacted Stanley Restoration for us.

Stanley Restoration took over the clean-up and restoration of our home.  We were of course stunned by the fact that our entire home needed massive cleaning, repair, and renewal.  However, two lead employees of Stanley Restoration took over managed the entire project.  We quickly became confident that they would make sure the restoration was done well and to our satisfaction.  We could therefore relax and wait for the work to be done.

So now our home is completely redone on the inside and we are delighted with the way it looks and feels!  It is like a new home!

In the beginning of January my house flooded from a broken sewer pipe and my entire house was flooded with sewage water.  Stanley Restoration was contacted and immediately responded to start the restoration of my home.  My home had to be taken down to the studs and rebuilt from the ground up.  I was assigned a project manager.  I would not have been able to handle the restoration of my home without her.  She did everything. 

I travel for a living and she made sure my home was restored to its original state or better.  I could not believe how attentive she was.  My home is over 20 years old so standard in my home is not standard for today.  A lot of what had to be replaced had to be custom made.  I did not do anything.  She brought everything to me to make the selections and did it on my timeframe which meant she had to meet me either very early in the morning or late at night after I returned.

Compassionate professionals

I want to take this time to acknowledge the professionals you have on your team; namely your project manager.  She was very understanding and patient with our situation.  As you are aware, we called upon Stanley to help bring our home back in order following the failure of our fire sprinkler system during the hard freeze in February 2011.  When this occurred, both my husband and I were out of town.  When she contacted us, we are also dealing with our parents being hospitalized, which made it very difficult to coordinate schedules with her.

She exercised care and sympathy for our situation, but also had the inherent foresight to know that we needed order in our life--and by completing this project as quickly as possible would give us a sense of order.  In a seemingly calm and professional way, she got what she needed done, with minimal disruption to our schedules.  This allowed both of us to concentrate on our family matters.

Additionally, she was very timely in her responses to me.  Whenever I called, if I had to leave a message she would promptly return my phone call.  She explained every step of the job, and when we called upon cost estimates for our change orders, she was timely in getting the information to us, so that decisions could be made.

The Stanley Restoration team should be proud to have compassionate professionals such as my project manager.  Whenever we need future services, we know to call upon Stanley Restoration and hope again to get her assigned as our project manager!

The damage was so extensive that I considered it a miracle that the work was completed by Easter

Stanley Restoration has recently restored my condominium twice from water damage.  I would highly recommend the company.

Allstate recommended your company when the water had come from the unit above me.  The walls and floors needed to be dried out.  The field supervisor had his crew install fans and checked every day until they could proceed with the work.  The water started Feb. 12th and all work was completed by Feb. 19^th.  I was impressed.

Sometime during the night of Feb 28^th, the water heater in my unit broke and flooded most of my unit.  I asked Allstate to have Stanley Restoration’s crew handle the clean-up.

I also asked Allstate to have your company do the reconstruction.   This is when I met with your project manager.  She is an organized, hard worker, pays attention to details kind of project manager.  In addition, she was patient and kind to me.  I needed that empathy as I was at my wits end.  I don’t do disasters well—does anyone?  If I called her she returned my calls.  She told me when her people would be here and they were.  She has integrity and her word is gold.  The damage was so extensive that I considered it a miracle that the work was completed by Easter.  My family was amazed at what she had accomplished, with her good crews who she handled well.

I would like to introduce myself to you with a letter to recognize several of your employees.  Having this experience with my uprooted home was not something I would like to experience again.  I want to applaud your project manager with his professionalism and commitment to me and my family through this lengthy process.  He gave me reassurance and explained step by step on the progress of the work that his crews were going to do.  He always was on time and communicated with his personal touch.

Other members of the Stanley team were outstanding as well.  Your lead tech showed excellent customer service.  He added some helpful ideas to save more energy for my home.   And the cleaning crew cleaned every inch of my kitchen.  All of the girls worked well together.  Their loyalty and knowledge was very helpful and I learned some things about a smoke job.

Then the last part of the clean-up was a gifted employee and a new technician that was with him.  They did exactly what I asked on cleaning the carpets and fixing some lighting throughout the house.  It is very inspiring to see all of you staff that really likes their jobs and work so well together.

On August 15^th, we woke up to water standing in our kitchen, dining room, and utility room.  The hot water supply line under our kitchen sink had broken in the night, and ran hot water for hours.  The water also ran into our floor vents of the kitchen.  After cleaning up as much water as we could we called our Allstate Insurance agent.  They referred us to Stanley Restoration. 

Within two hours, their field supervisor was at our home to assess our water damage.  Our restoration process began and we were also assigned a project manager.  For the next five weeks, they were taking care of our restoration.  They made sure that every aspect of the project was carried out in a timely manner.  They handled the entire project very professionally.

An amazing restoration company who has gained our loyalty for life

The joy and pleasure we get in owning our home is second-to-none.  As most know, homeownership comes with the liability of misfortune.  Since purchasing our home, more than two and a half years ago, we have been very fortunate to not have any major problems with the structure, electrical, foundation, plumbing, or anything else.  Our home is more than 30 years old and is quite sound.  But the week before Christmas, we discovered water in our living room.  We traced the source of the water to our guest bathroom.

A local handyman inspected our home before we purchased it, so we called him in search for assistance to resolve the water leakage.  He advised us to contact our insurance company as soon as possible.  We called our local agent, and she suggested that we get Stanley Restoration involved immediately.

Stanley Restoration sent an estimator to assess the damages.  When he arrived, he could see the stress and frustration on our faces.  We were upset because we were concerned with the hard-wood floors being damaged throughout the house.  He spent a few hours with us that Wednesday afternoon.  He went over the “ins and outs” or mold, mildew, and replacing what couldn’t be salvaged.  He called the field supervisor and his crew to have them come out and setup fans and dehumidifiers in the affected areas late Wednesday evening.  By this time, we had water in the guest bathroom, guest bedroom, living room, kitchen, laundry room, and garage.  Then, he suggested we file a claim, as he recognized that the damages were going to cost much more than our deductible.  He waited as we spoke to our adjuster in the claims department at Allstate. 

Within a couple of hours, they quickly assessed the damages and made recommendations about moving our furniture to accommodate the space needed for the fans and dehumidifiers.  They stayed with us for a couple of hours and helped us move the furniture.  They reassured us that our nightmare would be over soon.

The following morning, we received an upsetting call from our Allstate claims handler.  She was the bearer of bad news with policy information which limited our budget for fixing and restoring our home.  Without hesitation, we requested an invoice to see how much expense we had incurred thus far.  The Field Supervisor was able to give us a verbal estimate on the cost for the use of the equipment and we felt it was reasonable.  They called us throughout the day with additional information and provided us with invaluable support.  Knowing our budget was limited, they obtained approval from the office to leave their fans and dehumidifiers running at our house for a few days, at no charge.  We are most appreciative of their unselfish will to help us.

These men from Stanley Restoration gave us guidance, exhibited expertise, and provided reassurance in an unselfish way to help us in our distressed time of need.  As we move past this experience, we have a better understanding of what steps to take if this ever occurs again.  Moreover, we have an amazing restoration company who has gained our loyalty for life.  Without hesitation, we recommend Stanley Restoration to anyone who finds themselves in similar, unfortunate circumstances.
