Frequently Asked Questions

Have a few questions?  We've got the answers.  Below are answers to questions frequently asked by homeowners, insurance agents, and insurance adjusters.  If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to call or visit the Contact Page.

I have a homeowner's insurance policy. How does Stanley restoration work with my insurance carrier to restore my home back to a pre-loss condition?

Stanley Restoration has many years of experience working with different insurance carriers. In fact, Stanley Restoration acts as a preferred vendor for several insurance carriers. Each insurance carrier has different preferences as to how restoration and reconstruction claims are executed. With years of experience, we can easily work alongside your insurance adjuster and insurance carrier to ensure that you, the homeowner, are taken care of in a professional and expedient manner.

My homeowner's policy does not cover the damage to my home. I do not want to file a claim, or I believe the damages to be under my deductible. Does Stanley Restoration work on non-insurance related claims?

Stanley Restoration understands that sometimes damage that can occur to your home may be well under your deductible or may not be covered under your insurance. Stanley Restoration gladly works out payment plans in these situations. Our pricing structure remains the same and you can be assured that we will take care of you in the exact same manner as we would if we were performing insurance work for a preferred insurance carrier.

Are your phones really answered 24 hours-a-day? If I have a fire, smoke, or water damages emergency at three in the morningis someone really going to call me back?

Of course! We will call you back in 15 minutes or less! This is the nature of our business. During normal operating hours your phone calls are answered directly by Stanley Restoration staff. After hours, our phones are answered by an answering service who will take your call. If you do have an after hours emergency, the answering service will alert Stanley Restoration management and you will be contacted immediately by a Stanley Restoration representative.

What do you mean when you say you offer “turn key” restoration/reconstruction services?

Most restoration and reconstruction companies do not offer both restoration and reconstruction services. Therefore, two separate companies become involved in the restoration and reconstruction process. This can elevate the chances of scheduling delays, communication mishaps, and even finger pointing and an unwillingness to accept responsibility if a problem arises. Stanley Restoration boasts a full in-house staff of both restoration and reconstruction professionals. We have the capability to handle the entire project from start to finish.

In an emergency seconds count! I need someone out at my house as soon as possible. How quick can you get a crew out here?

If contacted after hours, Stanley Restoration guarantees that we will call you back in 15 minutes or less. Once we have been sufficiently briefed on your specific emergency we guarantee that an emergency crew will be dispatched to your residence in less than two hours.

Are you really open 24 hours-a-day, 7 days –a-week, 365 days-a year?

Yes we are! Some of our veteran technicians will recount in great detail to working one year during the first half of the Superbowl in Denton in a snowstorm! Our management and staff understands that emergencies can happen any time of day, any day of the year and we are committed to serving you – even during the Superbowl!

I have seen that you utilize “IICRC-trained” crews and that you have the IICRC-Certified Firm logo on your website. What exactly is the IICRC?

IICRC stands for The Institute of inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. The IICRC has served as a cleaning, inspection and restoration service industry guardian for more than 30 years. As an IICRC-Certified firm, Stanley Restoration provides ongoing IICRC-Certified education and training for our employees and adheres to the Code of Ethics provided by the IICRC. We are very proud to be an IICRC-Certified firm.

There is obviously never a convenient time to have a fire, smoke or water damage emergency. My family and I are very busy, why should I choose Stanley Restoration?

As an insurance agent, I want my customer taken care of swiftly. How can Stanley Restoration expedite the claim while providing excellent quality?

Stanley Restoration’s “turn key” business approach allows us to handle your homeowner’s restoration/reconstruction emergency efficiently and professionally without any red tape. Experienced with all types of restoration/reconstruction emergencies, we have the ability to complete the restoration/reconstruction of the home typically ahead of schedule.

The drying equipment you placed in our house can be noisy and my carpeting feels dry. Can I go ahead and turn off the equipment?

Stanley Restoration recommends that you do not turn off the drying equipment unless you absolutely need to. While you may feel that things are dry, it takes sensitive equipment to really tell the whole story. Humidity levels inside wall cavities and your home are not always detectable without moisture detection equipment. Your sanity matters to us however and if you feel you need to turn off the drying equipment please contact us so that we may advise you further.

Do you offer continuing education classes for insurance professionals?

Yes we do. Periodically we do offer continuing education courses that are unique and entertaining. These courses are registered with the Texas Department of Insurance and will qualify usually as a two-hour credit. Please call Stanley restoration or e-mail us if you are interested in attending our next class.

I have heard great things about Stanley Restoration as a company. Are you currently hiring?

Stanley Restoration’s hiring cycles for different positions can fluctuate. However, we are always on the lookout for that special person who would fit nicely to our organization! If you are a competitive, honest and professional individual who has experience in either the restoration or reconstruction industry we would love to hear from you.  Tou may call our office or visit our Employment Page.

Does Stanley Restoration offer fatality restoration services?

No we do not. Fatality restoration is something that we do not do. We will be happy to refer an excellent fatality restoration company if you have a need for that service.

Does Stanley Restoration offer mold remediation services?

No we do not. At one point in time we offered mold remediation as part of our services for an insurance carrier. If you are in need of this service, please contact us and we will try to refer you to a restoration company that currently provides mold remediation.

Does Stanley Restoration ever “chase” fire, smoke or water damage jobs?

While restoration and reconstruction companies are always anxious to help out, we do not feel the use of police scanners or internal programs to “chase” fires is appropriate or ethical. You will never have a Stanley restoration representative arrive at your home without having been invited first by your insurance agent, your insurance company or by you personally. Be wary of any restoration or reconstruction company or “public” adjuster that just happens to show up uninvited after your family has experienced an emergency.

Which credit cards do you accept?

Stanley restoration accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards.
